A private contractor may have solved the mystery behind Pennsylvania’s 2024 drone and “UFO” scare. According to a New York Post article, a unique manned aircraft, demonstrated at the Army’s UAS Summit at Fort Rucker in August 2025, was revealed as the source of similar sightings in the region. The contractor claimed their four-winged, 20-foot craft, tested over Pennsylvania in November 2024, sparked the “UFO” panic due to its unconventional design and flight patterns.

Pennsylvania’s drone sightings, particularly in central and northeastern areas like Lancaster, Harrisburg, York, Penn State, and Allentown, continued into May 2025, raising public concern.
